Ok, so I've been a little lax in getting back here and explaining why the baby is being referred to as "Boo". Zoe's father was watching the Olympics a ways back and Peekabo Street was skiiing for the US team. They had a filler story about how she had gotten her name. Her parents let her choose it herself - they called her Little Girl or something like that. When she was three years old they asked her what she would like to be named. Her favorite thing was to play peekabo, so that became her name. Anyway, Zoe's father thought this was the greatest idea, so when we told him we were expecting he starting calling the baby Boo. Of course, Zoe's mom was scandalized and said it was absurd. So, Zoe and her father started referring to it as Boo (mainly to get her going) and the name has stuck. And there it will probably stick for the rest of the poor child's life. I guess it's no worse than people who call their child peanut or some other nickname...
I should also mention that everything is going great, and we are past the week 37 mark. That's considered fully cooked, and such it could be any day now (or up to week 41). We actually have a nursery put together and bought a car seat finally. Lots of people were kind enough to throw a surprise baby shower (hosted by Vicky). We actually feel like maybe we're prepared... maybe.
Well I guess time is going by and we really need to make this announcement - we are expecting our first baby in September! That would make us 24 weeks pregnant and before you ask we don't know the sex and to be honest after much discussion we decided not to find out. The funny story that goes with this is we went for the Ultra Sound to measure the length of the babies bones and to make sure all the organs are working okay and to find out the sex…. We asked if the tech would write it on a piece of paper and we would do something special to find out. So we left the office with an envelope with a ? mark on the front and it sits in the glove compartment of the truck (for those interested we have started locking it to keep our tempted friends from looking ;o))! So that's about all happening here!! Okay now you can look at the pictures of the Cruise, there is at least one there that would have given the game away if we hadn't announced it! We also put up the Ultra Sounds pictures of course we can make out every detail but will totally understand if they make no sense to you.
Oh, and there is a story behind why the baby is called "Boo", but that will have to come later... We have a whole slew of Baby pictures already (ok, technically ultrasounds) and they can be found here
