| 07/04/2008 | mem | Fourth | We went out to Andy's house for a few hours today, and then made it to Lowell just in time to watch fireworks from the Rourke bridge (couldn't get any closer due to roads being shut down). We had to share the bridge with a ton of spiders everywhere that were a bit scary. All the pics can be found under FourthOfJuly2008. Most are a bit blurred (night shot, shaky bridge, kid on shoulders, etc...). |

| 07/03/2008 | mem | Adventure | We went on an adventure today via train, subway, and boat out to Georges Island - one of the harbor islands. All the pictures can be found in TrainsBoatsIslandFort. I highly recommend the video clip of the ferry ride back. It's a bit big (and you have to download - sorry, no streaming), but it's well worth it. Moments after Charlie's snow-cone literally flew up and disintegrated in the wind... |

| 07/01/2008 | mem | Family | The second stop on our roadtrip to visit family in the Berkshires was the Utz Family. Dave was nice enough to build some boats for the kids and we played outside for a while until the thunder started. Then we spent the next few hours visiting while Zara ran back and forth to the bathroom puking. We aborted our last stop (dinner with Nancy at the Hakilau (a.k.a. Luau Hale these days). In the end, Zara threw up at least a dozen times and she got to be quite a pro. The weather and driving were atrocious, so we didn't even get a chance to pull over after a while. |

| 07/01/2008 | mem | Family | We went on a roadtrip to visit family out in the Berkshires today. First on the list was Grandma Peggy in Great Barrington. We had a great visit and the only casualty was an extending backscratcher the kids fought over who got to play with it. It was nice to see Peggy, and to hear the kids shouting "Bye Grandma Peggy" as we drove away. Not so nice was the sound of Zara puking shortly after on the highway. It was the start of a long stretch of puking... |
